A Congress Desk will be staffed in the lobby of Hotel Jakarta throughout the Congress.
Hotel Jakarta will be the Congress Headquarters: it’s located on an island in the river named het IJ.
This 4-star hotel is the most ecologically sustainable, greenest hotel in the city.
It is brand new, but it cherishes the history of its location: from this spot the great
passenger ships used to sail to the Dutch Indies.
Evening
In the evening we invite you to an informal welcome buffet.
Dinner in the Kompaszaal (Compass Room), with a splendid view over the river IJ.
The Kompaszaal is the former departure hall of the Royal Dutch Steamship Company. After shipping left, squatters moved in and saved the place from demolition.
